Vibrant prints, mod looks, and a certain Palm Springs-inspired, low-key glamour are what have made
Trina Turk a household name in contemporary fashion. Always flattering and easy-to-wear, season after season
Trina Turk’s designs exude a vintage-inspired chic that is so dead-on, you may just forget that you’re not lounging next to the pool at Frank Sinatra’s desert hideaway.
Born in California and raised there and in the state of Washington,
Trina Turk’s mother taught her to sew when she was just 11 years old. She studied fashion design at the University of Washington and took her first job with the Seattle-based sportswear manufacturer, Britannia Jeans.
Trina Turk’s next stop was Los Angeles, where she waded into a sea of 30 prints per season designing surfwear for Ocean Pacific.
Realizing that her resumé wasn’t likely to bring offers to design a line of contemporary clothing for women,
Trina Turk’s next step was to launch her own business. With her husband, then a stylist, now photographer Jonathan Skow and production manager Lyne Lee as partners,
Trina Turk, the company, was born in 1995. With 60s and 70s-inspired looks in a kaleidoscope of prints, as well as everyday work wear,
Trina Turk’s gorgeous designs are as fabulous as they are wearable. Check out best-sellers like the
